| Class Introduction: The mental, emotional and physical benefits of yoga should be accessible to EVERYONE. Sadly, yoga has become recognized as a fitness fad aimed toward those who are already physically fit and in perfect health. This class is designed to address the concern that yoga is not for people who are overweight, injured, stiff, elderly, or have physical limitations, or are simply out of shape... Class Description: EveryBODYoga is a yoga therapy class - designed to address the physical needs of each student in each class. We emphasize the therapeutic application of yoga postures while gently exploring the conscious link between breath and movement. Focus is on pain management, self-care, and increasing mindfulness or calm alertness. Benefits: Students in this class report, increased strength, stability, flexibility, range of motion and significant pain reduction. Students know that their limitations are respected and that they will not only be safe in this class, but supported in caring for their condition. |
